A Landscape in conversation - The New Architectural Association

The proposal argues for the importance of listening and debating within architectural education. The
design concept reconsiders the notion of ‘soundscape’, taking inspiration from the composer John Cage’s Fontana Mix: A Special Female Version, a piece of notation that explores and questions the limits of music and sound.

The architecture, influenced by the anatomy of musical instruments, becomes an educational sound device activated by the users and the weather.
