Resonant Architecture: The Spirit of Place in China Part 2 Project 2018 Siqi Deng Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University | China Based on research that explored the analogy of Chinese calligraphy and spatial design, a new language for constructing architectural environments was developed. Shan Fang, an educational facility dedicated to the teaching of Chan – the Chinese root of the Japanese Zen, is situated on a mountain in Guo Dong village, Zhejiang province, China.
