Microorganisms were the first forms of life on Earth and emerged over 4 billion years ago, current life forms would not exist without these organisms. The growth of human population and relentless specie pollution on the Earth has formulated in exponential pressures, particularly impacting the world’s oceans.

Dead Zones are classified as hypoxic ‘low oxygenated’ areas in the world’s oceans and lakes, a consequence of excessive nutrient pollution from human sources; 85 per cent of the oxygen for the planet is produced from the oceans.

The projects intent is to restore the Earth’s increasing number of ‘Dead Zones’ and provide a Phytoplan Pharmaceutical facility that aims to combat human ‘chronic diseases’ through the research and clinical infusion of Phytoplankton as a medicine.

Located in the Menai Strait of North Wales, the area is classified as one of the ‘405 ‘ specified Dead Zones in the World.

The facility itself completes as one entity in which medicine production and treatment occur at the same location with the design inspired to the study of cells geometry and structural properties.

Comprising three structures ‘Human Diagnostics’, ‘Treatment’, ‘Bioreactor’ facility and five individual growth tanks, the schemes function is to articulate the cultured Phytoplankton into a medicine to be applied to patients who suffer from chronic diseases. The growth tanks consume the de-oxygenated waters of the Menai Strait, in turn releasing phytoplankton onto the Menai surface in which phytoplankton replicate and photosynthesise naturally releasing oxygen into the targeted ‘Dead Zone’.

Phytoplan pharmaceutical laboratories strip the silica wall from the phytoplankton preparing for human intake. A series of phlebotomy clinics enable treatment via infusion methods.

The Phytoplankton stimulates cellular regeneration, providing ‘phytochemicals’ that ‘prevent, treat and cure’ all levels of conditions of human disease through the sixty-five nutritional properties that one cell structure contains. Phytoplanktons are nine times smaller than a single red blood cell, which allows source to bypass the human digestive system initiating a healing process.

The notion that the facility will be replicated and constructed in additional World Dead Zone locations is an attempt to further diminish low oxygenated water bodies and provide possible ‘cures?’ to an increasing World population that is set to rise to 10.127 billion by 2065.
