Corridor Apartments

Part 2 Project 2017

Corridor Apartments re-examines the program of the typical New York City corridor-based unit and exploits the unit’s potential to acoustically and visually insulate its occupants from one another to enhance the unit’s privacy without adding excessive area. By expanding and interlocking corresponding units, the Corridor Apartments re-program the corridor as a social condenser, storage space and occupiable living area.
