Part 2 Dissertation 2016

Ghana’s architecture built during its independence era represents the peak of tropical modernism both regionally as well as globally. However, the nation’s decline in almost every aspect has rendered these buildings irrelevant beyond their fundamental utility. A vivisection performed on these structures entails a comprehensive study of their climatic performance through the effects of time, users and authorities, and reveals what influence canonical architecture has on development, and vice versa.
