The Role of the Plot in the Evolution of a Blythswood Urban Block over the Last Two Hundred Years

Glasgow has undergone revolutionary urban transformations over the last two hun-dred years. However, some neighbourhoods have proven a resilient structure and have changed through small scale evolutionary modifications. The Blythswood area is one such neighbourhood which has successfully adapted to its users’ changing needs and desires. The detailed study of the evolution of one block will shine light on the characteristics that have allowed such resilience.
