Part 2 Dissertation 2018
Claire Dimond
Kingston University UK
This dissertation is a study of the architecture of Guarino Guarini in relation to the concept of divided representation. The tensions caused by the rise of science in an age of traditional understanding had a profound impact on Guarini’s work. He designed stunning spaces, using the physical to reveal the spiritual. His architecture is some of the most unique, transcendent and rich of the Baroque era.
