Modern Approaches to the Architecture of Preschool Educational Institutions in Baku City Part 2 Dissertation 2025 Fidan Bakhshi Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction | Azerbaijan My Master's dissertation is dedicated to the topic of "Modern Approaches to the Architecture of Preschool Educational Institutions in Baku City." This research aims to address the growing demand for kindergartens in the rapidly expanding city of Baku and to resolve existing problems such as overcrowding, outdated infrastructure, and non-functional spaces. The work emphasizes the critical importance of creating functional, safe, and stimulating environments, based on the direct impact of architectural design on children's physical and psychological development.The study analyzes global practices (Fröbel, Waldorf, Montessori approaches) to propose innovative solutions applicable to Baku. The core concept, adapted to Baku's urban planning conditions, includes "vertical" and "multi-story" kindergarten models to overcome spatial limitations, as well as principles for integration into residential complexes and linkage with green areas. The originality of my project lies in its comprehensive approach to existing problems, putting forward concrete architectural and planning proposals that incorporate ecological sustainability, inclusivity, smart technologies, and flexible space design. As a result, this work provides practical and scientifically significant recommendations for the future development of preschool educational institutions in Baku.
