Let’s Dense Part 1 Project 2018 Alessandro Castiglioni Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology | Australia The project proposes a new urban design strategy for a blank site in the Melbourne suburban context. Development is instigated by a new civic precinct that connects to different residential typologies. The current density of the Australian suburban context is challenged in view of Melbourne’s rapid population growth and the traditional top-down masterplanning is replaced by a human scale approach.
