Part 1 Project 2025

The project explores ways to introduce a higher level of comfort into residential living. Given the location’s high activity and dynamic character, elevating the residential units above street level enhances privacy, while the ground floor would be home to commercial buildings and a large amount of greenery that contribute to the environmental value of the entire complex. On each typical floor there is a common space that serves the residents for recreational activities and mutual communication. The core as a form of vertical communication connects the apartments, ground floor and garages below the building, which is important in order to increase the usable area on the ground floor and avoid a feeling of stuffiness. This free open floor is made possible due to a specific constructive system - floors are supported by lattice beams that transfer loads directly to the concrete core, eliminating the need for ground-level columns. The project aims to offer new perspectives on contemporary housing, with a focus on improving everyday living conditions.
