Remedial Anthecology: Propagating Melliferous Pollinators

Part 2 Project 2017

Pursuing recent evidence suggesting that Urban-fostered bees are healthier, this project posits a sustainable model for commercial pollination. Instigating co-habitation, a derelict public house is converted into an apiary, from which successive generations of bees can encompass new foraging territories outwards towards cultivated lands, removing transit stresses, whilst establishing permanent pollinator populations. Brewing mead from by-product honey introduces commercial incentives, whilst on-site drinking spaces return social property to local communities.
