The Analogue Bank

Part 1 Project 2019

As news reports of cybercrime, identity fraud and online theft become a daily occurrence within today’s media, there is no question that cyber security is an increasing threat to today’s society.

The proposed scheme looks to provide a critical alternative to digitalised systems of trade in the City of London, examining and incorporating multi-faceted systems of transport, communication and exchange. A speculative critique of current failings, the project playfully challenges seemingly positive technological developments by presenting a soon to be safer analogue alternative.

This project was completed as part of a part time study route which has allowed me to gain invaluable industry experience whilst also pursuing higher education. I hope this work stands as testament that part-time architectural pedagogy can produce a quality of work equal to that of full-time courses, whilst still providing a sustainable platform on which to develop an individual’s architectural education.
