An open structure is designed for being a vocational school in Mumbai with a chosen
material as prominent construction material. Bamboo, a commonly seen construction
assisting material is chosen as adaptation on a usable yet abandoned colonial school, to
conceal the existing structure and let it coexist with the material and the surroundings.

Considering that Indians have a mixed feeling upon its colonial history due to its dark
past, they tend to abandon the less touristy buildings, like the chosen school in Mumbai
Central railway cluster. Yet, it would be such a waste of its history, culture and material.
As a result, bamboo structure in strengthened scaffolding structure as it fits the function
of doing repair, concealing and freeing up interior.

At the end, the form of a box-like scaffolding-like frame structure is used as its
secondary facade to conceal yet also provide abruption of its existence in a humble, so
the structure can be distinguishable but blended into their daily culture at the same time.

Besides, by providing the openly interpretable structure around its periphery, an
operable facade is made for push functions out and free up the space inside.
