Reconnected Campus: A floating bridge over the urban road

This project is dedicated to the sustainable regeneration of the built environment through integrated structural and spatial design.

The project proposes an innovative sky bridge solution to resolve the fragmentation of the campus caused by the urban road, reconnecting the dispersed areas, reshaping the campus gateway form, and allowing vibrant public life to span the two campuses.

The design employs an economical long-span truss structure, optimized through varying density patterns and innovative supports to create pleasant pedestrian experiences both on and beneath the bridge. A student activity center and a café are designed as vitality nodes, shaping the new school gate space and enhancing the vitality of the campus.

By seamlessly integrating spatial and structural design, the project not only solves circulation challenges but also cultivates a dynamic, sustainable campus community where infrastructure becomes social catalyst.
