The School is interested in developing projects with a connection to place: an architecture that is buildable and sustainable.
The architectural education is studio based and is taught through individual and group seminars, with skills workshops to develop confidence through empowerment. Theory and technology lectures are integrated within the studio programme; students are expected to demonstrate this information in their work.
Projects are set in locations with profound geography and history to encourage the development of narratives within the work. Projects are structured to give students clear direction: they are encouraged to produce weekly development sheets, which build into well-organised portfolios.
